NOTICE OF LEGISLATION
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Notice is hereby given of intent to apply to the 2026 Session of the Florida Legislature for passage of an act relating to the City of Trenton, Gilchrist County; providing for the transfer of specified real property from the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund to the City of Trenton; establishing requirements for the management, use, and potential disposition of the property; providing for cultural resource review under certain conditions; requiring conveyance within a specified timeframe; providing an effective date.
The Gilchrist County Legislative Delegation will be holding a public meeting to consider and vote on the proposed local bill regarding the Trenton Depot. This delegation vote is required in order for the bill to proceed for filing and consideration during the upcoming legislative session. The meeting will be held in a public virtual format via Webex on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 9:00 am. Any interested person is invited to join via the options listed below:
